Aysel Doğan and Nuray Gedik acquitted of all charges

İSTANBUL- A lawsuit was opened against Aysel Doğan and Nuray Gedik for launching a hunger strike in solidarity with Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça. Two women have been acquitted of all charges.

Aysel Doğan, mother of Dilek Doğan who was killed by police during a raid on her house, and Nuray Gedik, mother of Hasan Ferit Gedik, launched a hunger strike in solidarity with dismissed educators Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça. A lawsuit was opened against them on charges of “making propaganda of a (terrorist) organization”. Two women have been acquitted of terrorism charge.
