IZMIR - The parents of the murdered Deniz Poyraz complained about the perpetrator, those who helped the perpetrator, the instigators, those who neglected and lacked intelligence, and the polices. Expressing that the attack was against the HDP and demands for peace, the family said: ‘’No matter what anyone says, peace will come.’’

 

The parents of Deniz Poyraz, who was killed in the attack carried out by Onur Gencer on the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Izmir Provincial Organization building on June 17, went to the Bayraklı Courthouse to file a complaint upon being summoned by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Fehime and Abdülillah, because of Deniz’s murder; complained about the perpetrator, the instigators, those who helped, as well as the police and their superiors who did not intervene in the incident, and the authorities due to the lack of intelligence and negligence in the attack.

 

‘I am complaining about the murderer, the police and the one who manages the police’

 

Fehime, who was called from the prosecutor’s office to testify, said: ‘’Let justice be done, we are the plaintiffs, from the murderer and from the police. The murderer went waving his arm and killed Deniz. It is not right to kill a defenseless person. I am complaining about the one who manages, the police and the murderer.’’

 

‘Everybody knows that the police have a hand in’

 

Abdülillah Poyraz said: ‘’My daughter has no idea, she went to work in the morning instead of her mother. The killer murdered my daughter. I am complaining to the end, I won't let it go. Secondly, I am complaining about all the polices there. If the police had come but they wouldn’t have said, ‘Condolences to you, do you have a blood feud or did someone come randomly and shot your daughter.’ The police also knew, everyone knew that the police also had a hand in it. That killer comes downstairs, the police puts his hand on his shoulder. He said, ‘Mate, what is your name?’ If police had come and said to me, ‘Uncle, condolences to you’. I am complaining about that police. No matter what anyone says, I am complaining about that police. Both the police and those who run the police know about it.’’

 

‘Kurdish people know that there is a trick, Turkish people should also know’

 

Stating that the police did not go because the attack continued while the perpetrator was at the party building, Abdülillah said: ‘’I am complaining to everyone there. I want the blood to stop. Not cry the mothers of both Kurds and Turks. Funerals should not come to Turkey. Whoever he/she is. Neither did my daughter, nor did her mother want it. Neither the Kurdish people nor the Turkish people want it. There is a trick in Deniz’s murder. The Kurdish people know it, the Turkish people should know it too. Nobody should come to this trick.’’

 

‘The attack was a plot against the HDP and peace’

 

Expressing that there is a plot against the HDP as part of the HDP’s closure effort, Abdülillah said: ‘’The HDP is the party of the people. HDP is everyone’s party. It is the party of everyone, regardless of who is Kurdish, Turkish, Laz, Circassian, Armenian or Jew. It is not just the Kurds. They made this trick to close this party. Attack was against peace.’’

 

‘No matter what anyone says, peace will come’

 

Underlining that they want peace, Abdülillah said: ‘’We always say peace, we do not want blood is shed. Everyone should know that peace will come to Turkey. No matter what anyone says. Kurdish, Laz, Circassian, Armenian, Jew, I have a call to everyone: the sweetest thing in this world is peace. We do not want anyone’s blood spilled. Condolences to all the peoples.’’
