ANKARA - Many people, including HDP Press Office employee Ece Şimşek, were detained during the operation against the ESP.

 

In the Ankara-based operation against the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) in the morning, many people, including Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Press Office employee Ece Şimşek, were detained in a raid on their homes.

 

While detention operations were taking place in Ankara-based also in Istanbul and Antalya, Ece Şimşek, ESP Ankara Provincial Chairperson Mehmet Ali Tosun were detained in Ankara, ESP Central Executive Board member Şükran Yaren Tuncer was detained in Istanbul, and Gizem Altınöz was detained in Antalya.

 

Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that there are detention warrants for the 23 people.
