ISTANBUL - The perpetrator T.K, who systematically abused the child in Istanbul, was released two hours after he was detained. The perpetrator, who violated the restraining order given twice, was put on electronic bracelet as a "precaution" despite continuing his threats and harassment.

T.K. in Istanbul subjected his child to systematic sexual abuse. The abuse emerged after the child told to mother about the situation. Anne Y. T. filed a complaint at the police station after learning about the abuse. The perpetrator T.K. was detained but released two hours later. While the indictment was not prepared as the file was at the investigation stage, a "confidentiality" order was quickly brought.

Mother spoke to our agency

Speaking to our agency, Y.T. stated that her child, who spoke to her on April 13, told that child had been abused by the perpetrator T.K since child was 12-year-old. Expressing that they went to the police and filed a criminal complaint after learning about the abuse, Y. added that her child was taken to the Child Monitoring Center (ÇİM) and child’s testimony was taken with a pedagogue after being examined here.

‘Mom, take me with you, child was saying I cannot do it at home’

Saying that they divorced on an agreement with the perpetrator eight months ago, Y. shared the information that her three children were officially in custody and said: “Y. shared the information that she is officially in custody of her three children and said: “My ex-husband used our house as her own for three months. When I got back from work, I saw that he used the house comfortably. When I reacted to this, he said: "As long as you have my children, this house is mine, I will go in and out as long as I want." I said that for my ex-husband to get used to this process, I had to leave the house and establish a new order in that process, and I left the house. When child came to me on the weekends, was saying, "Mom, take me with you, I cannot do it at that house." I told just few months, that your father had to get used to this situation a little more and then I would take you with me.

The child became introverted

Saying that her child locked in room when the perpetrator came home, Y. said: “Personally, when I asked why my child was so distant from you, he attributed it to adolescence and the events that happened. I thought so too. There is an incident ahead of us and I thought that is why the child became introverted.”

‘We had to protect ourselves’

Emphasizing that the release of the perpetrator, despite her complaints after the abuse was exposed, scared them, Y. said: “I felt myself in an unfair country. We had to protect ourselves. During this time, we settled in another house, and in the evening the perpetrator came to the house. We have no security.” Emphasizing that the perpetrator continues his harassment and threats by calling systematically by phone, Y. stated: “I think such cases should be taken seriously. All the necessary precautions should be taken first.”

‘He came to my house despite the restraining order’

Saying that the perpetrator was under house arrest on the grounds that the perpetrator violated the restraining order, Y. stated: “The electronic bracelet was worn three-four days ago. I have always learned these from his relatives, and we already got the information that he was released from his relatives. Everything that needs to be done in this process should be done. We do not find the measures taken sufficient. Since the file is under investigation, the indictment has not been prepared yet. The perpetrator needs to be arrested instead of the restraining order. Despite the previous decision to suspend it, he came within 100 meters of me. He could do anything during that time.”

‘Let justice be served’

Reminding that many women are killed by men every day due to the measures not taken by the judicial authorities, Y. said: “The perpetrators try to cover up such cases. The abuse is tried to be covered up by legitimizing it. I want justice as soon as possible, the cases should not spread to such a long time, the criminals be punished as soon as possible.”

‘We expect the indictment to be prepared as soon as possible’

The lawyer of the case stated that the forensic report is included as evidence in the file and that the witnesses will be heard and conveyed the following information: “We requested that the people we want to be heard as witnesses to be heard, one of them has been heard and the other will be heard. When the file moves from the investigation stage to the prosecution stage, the actual trial will begin for us. In addition to house arrest, it was decided not to approach the victim's home 100 meters. We requested a restraining order on the grounds that it violated them, and we had it. Electronic clamps were attached to the perpetrator as he violated this decision. We are doing our best to prepare an indictment as soon as possible and to proceed to trial. After collecting all the evidence and hearing the witnesses, we will request a further arrest from the Magistrates’ Court.”
