‘Everyone must unite around Autonomous Administration’

	RIHA - Stating that the ‘Democratic Nation’ paradigm is targeted by Turkey's attacks, Mizgîn Xelîl, Deputy Co-Chairman of the Executive Council of the Euphrates Canton, said: "We will continue to make the Democratic Nation paradigm permanent and defend it against all attacks. Therefore, everyone from 7 to 70 should unite around the Autonomous Administration."

	 

	The Autonomous Administration entered a new construction process with its declaration in Rojava in 2014. In this process, the administration has made great innovations in the fields of education, health, diplomacy, women and military, proving that an alternative governance model is possible in the Middle East. The Autonomous Administration, which became a great hope for all peoples, became the target of imperial and nation-states.

	 

	Taking advantage of the attacks carried out by Hayyet Tahrir al-Sham against the Baath regime, Turkey and its paramilitary groups organised attacks on the regions under the control of the Autonomous Administration. While civilians were targeted in these attacks, dozens of people were killed and hundreds were injured.

	 

	Mizgîn Xelîl, Deputy Co-Chair of the Executive Council of the Euphrates Canton, spoke to JINNEWS on the issue.

	 

	‘Heavy blows were dealt to gangs’

	 

	Mizgîn Xelîl reminded the overthrow of the Baath regime and said: "Turkey took advantage of these attacks and attacked the areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration. 14 years ago, Kurds realised the peoples' revolution as a result of their struggle and gained the right to govern themselves. Since the establishment of the Autonomous Administration, Turkey has been dreaming and endeavouring to attack the Autonomous Administration. Therefore, it attacks every time it finds an opportunity. Along with this, Turkey has activated the sleeper cells of gangs in Minbij. As a result of these attacks, civilians were massacred and massacres were committed. The main reason for targeting Minbic is the fact that the peoples live there together. They wanted to create a conflict between Kurds and Arabs. They wanted to exist themselves with special war policies. However, QSD, YPG-YPJ forces showed great resistance against these attacks. Tunnel warfare tactics were given heavy blows to gangs affiliated with Turkey."

	 

	‘What has been done is a crime against humanity and war’

	 

	Mizgîn Xelîl said that Turkey was trying to target the ‘Democratic Nation’ paradigm with its attacks, and stated that civilians were targeted in Turkey's attacks on Minbic. Mizgîn Xelîl said, "Turkey's attacks were not limited to Minbic. For example, a whole family was massacred in the attacks on Eyn-Isa. Children returning from school in Kobanê were targeted. All these attacks resulted in what we call war crimes. According to the Geneva Convention, what was done there is a great humanity and war crime. In many protocols signed after 1949, there are provisions on the treatment of those wounded in war. However, we saw how the wounded were massacred in the attacks organised by the gangs on the hospital where the wounded stayed in Minbic"

	 

	‘The world remained silent on the attacks’

	 

	Mizgîn Xelîl said that ‘the law of war was not taken as a basis in the attacks carried out by the gangs affiliated to Turkey’ and expressed that the whole world remained silent. Mizgîn Xelîl said, "The guarantor powers remained silent on these attacks. Everyone is a partner in these attacks. But they should know this well: We will continue to exist with our resistance. The resistance will continue with the spirit of Kobanê, which has become a cancer for Turkey and Erdoğan. Because Kobanê pioneered the Autonomous Administration and the resistance there led to the establishment of a new system. Kobanê has become the heart of the revolution. This has become a cancer for them. They wanted to target Kobanê with the attacks on Minbic. However, our forces nullified these attacks."

	 

	‘We will defend the Democratic Nation paradigm’

	 

	Mizgîn Xelîl, referring to the attacks on the neighbouring villages of Kobanê, used the following words: The Şervan rewrote the history of resistance there. We had martyrdoms. However, just as we expelled DAIS from our lands, we will expel Turkey's gangs in the same way. This is our promise to our people and martyrs: We will be the follower and fighter of their legacy. We will continue to make the Democratic Nation paradigm permanent and defend it against all attacks. Therefore, everyone from 7 to 70 should unite around the Autonomous Administration.
