At the same time, celebrations took place all over the country and people took to the streets.   ‘2 thousand Damascus regime soldiers took refuge in Iraq’   Iraqi Government Spokesman Basim Avadi announced that 2 thousand soldiers from the Damascus regime forces took refuge in Iraq. Basim Avadi reported that the soldiers entered Iraq with the approval of the government.    Hewlêr-Damascus flights suspended   On the other hand, Hewlêr International Airport Directorate announced the suspension of flights to Damascus. Reminding the fall of the Assad regime, Hewlêr International Airport Director Ahmet Hoshyar announced that Hewlêr-Damascus flights have been suspended until further notice.   Syrian lira depreciated   Following the overthrow of the Damascus regime, the Syrian lira suffered a major depreciation. The local currency, the Syrian lira, fell by 42 per cent against the US dollar. After the fall, 1 dollar is traded at 22 thousand Syrian liras.   Internal Security Forces assumed security   The Internal Security Forces assumed security in the area in order to protect public assets, including documents and papers belonging to the people in the regime-era buildings.
